DUBAI -- The UAE closed all malls, shopping centers, commercial centers, and open markets except for fish, vegetable and meat for two weeks to slow the spread of the deadly coronavirus. Dubai: Retailers at the majority of malls in Dubai, including those at the biggest shopping and leisure destinations, will be getting no rental relief after malls open this week. The mall, being developed by the Lulu Group, is a massive undertaking covering over 860,000 sq.ft. of space. Malls has been closed to the public in March alongside many public attractions, beaches and parks. The malls in Abu Dhabi will only be open to the public between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m., and in Dubai, malls will be open for no more than 10 hours per day. One of the most exciting new malls in the UAE, the Avenues Mall in Silicon Oasis will feature an open-air rooftop garden, something that has never been attempted before in the city. Dubai Festival City Mall The mall and its food and beverage outlets are open from noon to 10pm. The UAE has the one of the highest per capita mall offerings in the world and is still growing rapidly. Malls, shops and public spaces across the country remained closed on Wednesday. Money exchanges will be open from 10am to 10pm and the hypermarket will be open from 8am to midnight.
